The bow saw,
traditional hand tool
The bow saw is one of the oldest types of saw and has retained its firm place in woodworking despite modern alternatives.
Our bow saws consist of three main components:
1. The saw frame has a U-shape and is made of sturdy oval steel tubing to ensure stability and strength. The clamping lever on the frame allows the saw blade to be clamped tightly, which is necessary for clean and precise cuts.
2 The replaceable saw blade is clamped between the ends of the frame and has sharp teeth specially designed for dry or damp wood.
3. Made of plastic, the handle provides a secure grip to guide the saw precisely. The integrated knuckle guard also offers protection against injuries to the guide hand.

Maintenance, care and tips
Choose the right saw blade. A saw blade with pointed or gap teeth is recommended for dry hardwood, while planer teeth are more suitable for soft, damp wood.
The saw blade should always be well tensioned to prevent it from bending or breaking.
Clamp the wood firmly before processing or fix it to a stable surface to prevent it from slipping.
Work with even strokes and avoid excessive pressure to prevent damage to the saw blade.
After work, wood residue and resin should be removed from the saw blade.
Metal parts of the saw should be oiled occasionally to prevent rust formation.
If the teeth are worn or blunt, the saw blade should be replaced in good time. You will find an extensive range of replacement blades in our saw store.
