What are Japanese saws?
Japanese saws are traditional pull saws based on the Japanese model, which enable particularly fine and clean cuts with minimal effort. They are usually equipped with a narrow saw blade, which enables them to penetrate deep into the material and produce clean, smooth work.
An outstanding feature of Japanese saws is the special tooth geometry. In contrast to traditional European saws, where the teeth are predominantly at right angles to the blade, Japanese saws are equipped with teeth that face forwards. This arrangement enables a precise cut with minimal effort.
Japanese saws are manufactured in a variety of sizes and designs. Japanese saws are designed for a variety of applications, from fine carving to rough woodwork. A single saw can often perform multiple tasks, making it a versatile companion for carpenters, joiners and DIY enthusiasts.
With their precise cuts and durability, Japanese saws are a must-have in your workshop. With our Japanese saw set, you get four Japanese saws at once. You can also find individual Japanese saws and matching replacement blades in our online store.

Maintenance and care
Clean the blades regularly with a cloth. Stubborn green residues or resin residues can be removed with kerosene, spirit or spray oil.
Dry damp or wet tools thoroughly after use to protect them from rust.
If the saw will not be used for a longer period of time, rub it with an oily cloth and store it in a dry place, preferably in a hanging position.
